Claire Colton is a versatile performer who loves music and loves being a vocalist. Whether working with a Big Band, a Dance Band, a Combo or a pianist, Claire gives of her best and her warmth and enthusiasm give her great audience appeal. She has a unique rich quality to her voice reminiscent of the Greats of yesteryear and an ability to adapt her vocal style.

Claire works extensively with The George Thorby Big Band performing at holiday venues, theatres and private functions where everything goes with a swing!

She also works regularly with other well-known bands and musicians - guesting with David Alacey’s Rat Pack Tribute and also working with BBC Radio Northampton for their Strictly Come Dancing charity event.

As a lyricist, Claire has collaborated with pianist Ray Moore to produce a CD of original easy listening and country and western songs. She is currently working on a project of ‘Love Songs’.

Claire’s repertoire is extensive covering songs from the whole of the Twentieth Century and into the 21st - including well-known hits for Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Dame Shirley Bassey, Dusty Springfield, Patsy Cline, Eva Cassidy and Gloria Gaynor.
